I've just published a music video for my track We Work to Earn Our Sleep, from my album of electronic music Artificial. For a few years, I've had a keen interest in robots, so this video is made of footage I've filmed of robots I've seen, including acting robot Robothespian, the customer service robot Pepper, and the therapeutic robot Paro. There are some models of fictional robots in there too, including Maria from Metropolis and Robbie from Return to the Forbidden Planet.
The core lyric for this piece was also included in my novel about the music industry, Earworm, in which Dove writes a song of the same name that is described as sounding quite different to this (p190).
My album Artificial explores what happens beyond artificial intelligence, when robots become sentient. You can stream or download this track and the full Artificial album here
