I'm pleased to say that my book Coder Academy has now been updated for Scratch 3. The book uses a mixture of on-the-screen and on-the-page activities to teach coding. It includes shape stickers that can be used to design a sprite, as well as a pull-out board game with a poster printed on the back of the board.
The book is mainly based on Scratch, but also includes a section at the back on designing a web page. You can use Scratch 3 on a Windows PC, Mac, or Linux computer (including Raspberry Pi), and it's free.
We've updated the screen layouts, block colours, and instructions for Scratch 3. There was one of the projects we rejigged because the octopus sprite does not feature the same animation as it did in Scratch 2.
The updates have been incorporated in a reprint rather than being a new edition, so the book retains the same ISBN it had before. (Old stock, if there is any, will still be Scratch 2). The book is no longer being published and marketed in the UK, so this version was created for Kane Miller in the US. You can find the book on Amazon here. See the publisher's page about the book here, including other titles in the series such as Chef Academy and Astronaut Academy, and an option to order directly.
